The dental world is evolving!

Traditional methods are being revolutionised by digital design and 3D printing for dental appliances. This course equips you to stay ahead of the curve. Learn how to safely integrate 3D printing into your practice, saving you valuable time and resources. Master the software used to design common dental appliances and prepare them for printing. We'll delve into the entire workflow, from design to post-processing, including printing, washing, and curing.

Day 1
  • Identify common applications of 3D printing in dentistry (splints, surgical guides, dentures, models, crowns, etc.)
  • Understand different types of 3D printers and their relevance in dentistry.
  • Gain basic knowledge of software workflow for 3D printing (model preparation, nesting, supports).
  • Learn the physical workflow of printing and curing dental models.
Day 2
  • Explore various types of resins used for 3D printed restorations.
  • Understand the advantages and physical properties of 3D printed restorative materials.
  • Master nesting techniques for optimal printing efficiency.
  • Design and print single crowns and temporary bridges (hands-on).
  • Observe demonstrations of wax-up design, full denture design, and palatal shell design.
  • Learn about designing other restorative appliances (flippers, bridges) through presentations.
Day 3
  • Understand the benefits and considerations for in-house clear aligner production.
  • Design and print semi-customized implant healing collars (hands-on).
  • Explore the cleaning and polishing processes for various 3D printed dental products.
  • Identify common print failures and troubleshooting strategies.
