Specifications for Masterclass
In your course, you will use the latest dental design software to complete 3D modelling tasks which put a high demand on your computer. To ensure an optimally smooth and efficient learning experience in our Masterclasses, the Australian Digital Dentistry Academy (ADDA) recommends you bring a laptop with the following specifications.
Our choice
ADDA’s 3D printing masterclass requires a laptop with strong performance capabilities for digital design software. If you need to buy a new laptop, we recommend these models:
Minimum requirements
- Processor: Intel Core i5 Processor (11th, 12th, or 13th Gen), AMD Ryzen 7 or higher
- RAM: 16 GB RAM
- Storage: Internal Solid State Drive with 500 GB available storage
- Graphics Card: Nvidia Graphics Card with a minimum of 6 GB dedicated GDDR6 memory (VRAM)
Recommended specifications (for optimal performance)
- Processor: Intel Core i7 or i9 Processor (11th, 12th, or 13th Gen), Ryzen (7000, 8000 or 9000)
- RAM: 32 GB RAM or more
- Storage: Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) with 1 TB available storage
- Graphics Card: Nvidia RTX 4050 or higher graphics card with at least 8 GB dedicated GDDR6 memory (VRAM)
Note: These minimum requirements and optimal recommendations apply to basic courses, but may be insufficient for higher level courses. If you are unsure about your laptop’s specifications or require further assistance, please reach out to ADDA for personalised advice.
